Sydney Swan (Fredonia/Fredonia) of the women’s cross country team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for her on field performances for the week ending October 28, 2017.

The freshman finished with the team best and 10th overall finish time of 25:24.5 at the Empire 8 Championship Meet Saturday to help lead the Cardinals to a 3rd place finish as a team.

Swan is the first freshman in school history to receive 1st Team All-Conference honors in women’s cross country.

The Cardinal return to action 11 A.M. on Saturday November 11 as they travel t Houghton N.Y. to compete in the NCAA Regional Championship marking their final event in 2017.
