James Chambers (Lockport/Lockport) of the football team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for his on field performances for the week ending October 28, 2017.

The senior running back had a career high 199 rushing yards and 91 receiving yards on 8 receptions to lead the Cardinals to a thrilling 35-28 Senior Day victory over Empire 8 rival Cortland.

He had two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown on the day including an 80 yard run late in the fourth quarter to seal the victory for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals return to action 1 P.M. on Saturday as they hit the road to face Morrisville State in an Empire 8 Conference matchup.
