Bre Socker of the St. John Fisher College field hockey team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for her on-field performances for the week ending October 8th, 2017.

The freshman forward was the leader offensively for the Cardinals posting a combined seven points throughout the week as the team increased their win streak to 11 games.

On Wednesday versus the #17 University of Rochester, Socker tallied her first career hat-trick in the Fisher 3-2 overtime win. She scored the game-winner just 28 seconds into the overtime period to bring her goal total for the season up to 12.

On Saturday, Socker picked up one assist in the 4-0 win over Elmira. She now sits second on the team in points with 27.

The Cardinals are back in action at 4 p.m. on Thursday as they travel to Keuka Park, to take on Keuka College in a non-conference matchup.
