St. John Fisher University Athletics

Jake Gentile of the men's soccer team has been named the St. John Fisher College Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on October 23rd, 2016.

Gentile had three points in Saturday's 2-0 win over Utica College on Saturday, helping the team clinch a berth in the Empire 8 Championship.

The Baldwinsville, NY native got off to a quick start, heading a free kick to teammate Tyler Randall who finished it for the game's first goal. Early in the second half, Gentile then scored an insurance goal to secure victory for the Cardinals.

Men's soccr returns to the pitch at 7 p.m. on Wednesday as the team hosts SUNY Geneseo at Growney Stadium.
