Fisher came through with a 2-0 win over the Elmira College Soaring Eagles in the 2009 ECAC Division III Upstate Men’s Soccer Championship title. Lennox recorded each of the Cardinals’ goals for the win. With 29 minutes left in the game, Lennox broke the scoreless tie on a penalty kick fired into the top right corner of the net. Then, in the 79th minute, he put the game away with his second goal, when he stole the ball at midfield and took the breakaway to the net, working the ball around the goalie and between the pipes from 20 yards out.
For his efforts, Lennox was named the game’s Most Outstanding Player. This season he led the Cardinals in goals (8), assists (7), points (23), shots on goal (16), and penalty kicks converted (2).
Lennox, the 2007 Empire 8 Player of the Year, was named to the all-conference first-team for the third time in his three-year career this season. Over his three year career at Fisher, he totaled 32 goals and 18 assists for 82 points. With the win, Fisher finishes 10-7-1 overall and 4-3 in the Empire 8.
