The Cardinals traveled to Saratoga Springs for their season-opening games, where they went 1-1. Fisher posted a 70-38 victory over Colby-Sawyer in its first game on Saturday. In the win, Taliento went 1-for-4 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free-throw line for four points and grabbed a team high nine rebounds. She also added in one steal and one assist in 17 minutes of play.
On Sunday, the Cardinals fell to host Skidmore College, 58-52. Taliento put up career numbers in the effort. In 29 minutes of play, Taliento went 5-for-7 from the field and 5-for-7 from the free-throw line for a career-high 15 points. The senior forward recorded a double-double, also grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds in the loss, 10 of which came on the offensive end.
Overall for the week, she totaled 23 rebounds (15 offensive and 8 defensive), 19 points, 3 assists and 2 steals.
Fisher, 1-1, will return to action on Friday at 6 p.m. The Cardinals will host D'Youville College in the Courtyard-Marriott Invitational.
