   Maloney led the Cardinals to a 2-0 weekend as Fisher hosted the Courtyard-Marriott Classic. The junior guard tallied 23 points in Friday’s 85-43 win over the D’Youville Spartans, and shot 9-for-12 from the floor for 22 points in Sunday’s 83-72 victory over the Allegheny Gators.
   Maloney was named as the Classic’s Most Valuable Player.
   For the season, Maloney leads the Cardinals in scoring, averaging 18.3 points per game, and has shot 29-for-49 (59.2%) from the floor.
   Maloney was also named Empire 8 Player of the Week.
   Fisher (3-1) will return to action at 2 p.m. on Saturday and will host Rochester Institute of Technology in the Empire 8 Conference season opener.
