Jeff Meyers of the St. John Fisher College men’s soccer team has been named the Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on September 11, 2016.
In three games over the week, Meyers scored four goals as the Cardinals posted a 1-1-1 record.
In the team’s 3-1 win over Hobart College on Tuesday, Meyers scored two goals on three shots, including the game winner in the 79th minute.
The freshman continued to impress, scoring a goal in both contests over the weekend.
Meyers’ goal total now resides at five, leading all players in the Empire 8 Conference.
Fisher will return to the pitch at 7 p.m. on Wednesday as it squares off against the Golden Eagles of Brockport on the road.
