St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Jim Dawson of the baseball team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 8th, 2016.

Fisher went 3-1 on the week, Dawson pitching in a 2-0 win over Rochester Institute of Technology on Wednesday. He improved his record to 8-0 and lowered his ERA to 0.90. The freshman limited RIT to just four hits, while striking out two batters and tallying a single walk.

The Cardinals clinched the Empire 8 Conference regular season title, and are the No. 1 seed and host for the conference tournament this weekend. Fisher will take on fourth-seeded Utica College at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Dugan Yard.
