St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Bridget Carney (Averill Park/Averill Park) of the women’s basketball team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of Week for the week ending January 24^th, 2016.

After this week, the Cardinals improve to 13-2 overall, and lead the Empire 8 Conference at 6-0.

Fisher traveled to Hartwick College this week, sealing a 71-51 win over the Hawks. Carney put up 12 points and tallied five rebounds in the contest. The senior also went 100% in free throws going 8-for-8.

The Cardinals return to action at 8 p.m. on Wednesday when they take on Alfred University on the road for an Empire 8 matchup.
