Evan Magnussen (Geneseo/Geneseo) of the men’s cross-country team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending August 31.

Magnussen was the top individual finisher at the Houghton College Short Course Invitational in Houghton, N.Y. on Friday.

The senior completed the 5,000-meter race in 16:34.2, guiding the Cardinals to an overall first-place finish.

Fisher competes again on Saturday at the Don Masterson Invitational held in Oswego, N.Y.
