St. John Fisher College’s Chelsea Oberkrieser (Iroquois/South Wales) of the women’s soccer team has been named as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 6, 2013.

Oberkrieser led the Cardinals to a victory in their only contest of the week.  The senior tallied Fisher’s only goal in a 1-0 win over host Elmira College on Saturday. The goal came in the game’s 25th minute.

On the season, Oberkrieser is now second on the team in goals scored with three. Her 10 points are also good for second best.

Fisher (5-7 overall, 1-1 Empire 8) returns to action at 7 p.m. on Tuesday and will host Buffalo State (6-3-1 overall, 2-1 SUNYAC) in the first of four straight home games at Growney Stadium.
