St. John Fisher College’s Ryan Kramer (Oneida/Oneida) of the football team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 16, 2011.

Kramer, a junior, was instrumental in the Cardinals 34-7 victory over Empire 8 Conference opponent Frostburg State University this past weekend. The quarterback rushed for two touchdowns on the day, while leading the team in rushing with a career high 128 yards. The first of his touchdowns came on a 21-yard run with 4:09 left in the 2nd quarter, while the second came in the 4th quarter from three yards out.

Kramer also passed the ball 15 times during the game, completing eight of them for a total of 106 yards. Ultimately, Kramer contributed on 234 of Fisher’s 392 offensive total yards.

With the victory, the Fisher improved its overall season record to 5-1 and its Empire 8 Conference record to 3-0.
Fisher will return to action at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon when it travels to Springfield College to take on the Pride.
