PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher women's ice hockey freshmen Brynn Bacak and Keira Reckley have claimed major United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) awards following a successful inaugural season for the program in 2025-26.
Bacak has been named UCHC Goaltender of the Year, and Reckley has been named Rookie of the Year. Both players also garnered spots on the conference's All-Rookie team and earned All-UCHC honors, with Bacak receiving first-team recognition and Reckley second-team recognition.
Bacak totaled 690 saves (2nd in UCHC), registered a .936 save percentage (2nd in UCHC) and logged four shutouts while playing in 23 of the Cardinals' 26 games this season. She made 30 or more saves in 11 contests, including a season-best 51 in a 3-2 loss to Nazareth on Nov. 21, and allowed fewer than three goals in 14 games.
Reckley led the Cardinals with 13 goals and 22 total points and finished tied for second on the team with nine assists. She had eight multi-point games, including two-goal performances in conference wins over Albertus Magnus and Chatham. Reckley scored nine of her 13 goals in UCHC play.
The Cardinals finished the season 12-13-1 overall (7-6-1 UCHC regular season). They lost to Albertus Magnus in double overtime in their first-ever conference playoff game.
