BOSTON, Mass. – The St. John Fisher women's indoor track and field team competed in a pair of highly competitive events over the weekend – the Harvard Crimson Open and the Boston University Valentine Invite – and had several impressive performances across multiple events.
Sophomore sprinter Abigail Dorunda placed 25th in the Boston University 200-meter run, which included many Division I runners, with a time of 25.60, just a tenth of a second shy of the Fisher indoor record for the event. She qualified for the Atlantic Regional Championships with the performance.
Dorunda also had a strong showing in the 400-meter run, recording a time of 59.62, the fourth-best indoor mark for the event in program history.
Sophomore Kianna Naval (jumps) had the Cardinals' top performance in the Harvard meet, placing seventh with a personal-best mark of 10.95 meters in the triple jump. She finished .02 meters shy of matching Fisher's indoor record for the event.

Freshman Juliana Riemersma qualified for regionals and set personal records in the 200-meter and 400-meter runs with times of 25.85 and 59.20, respectively. Both of those marks are good for third on the program's top-five lists for the events.

Sophomore Brianne Hurlburt qualified for regionals in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.91.

Freshman Emily Heiner qualified for regionals in the 200-meter run with a season-best time of 25.94.

Senior Caitlin Voloshen qualified for regionals in the mile with a time of 5:05.57.

Freshman Bailey Nixon recorded the program's third-best indoor time in the 800-meter run (2:22.69).
