PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher men's track and field student-athletes Hayden Penna (pole vault) and Joey Curr (shot put) have been selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, track and field student-athletes must have at least a 3.50 grade-point average and a top-50 regional ranking in an indoor or outdoor track and field event.

Penna, a rising junior who studies cybersecurity and computer science, has maintained a 3.76 GPA. At the 2025 Empire 8 Outdoor Track and Field Championship, Penna recorded the top pole vault mark in the Niagara Region and set the Fisher program record with a mark of 4.90 meters.

A history major, Curr has a 3.95 GPA through his junior year. He had the sixth-best shot put mark in the Niagara Region at 15.31 meters, a personal best he recorded in the Utica Blue and Orange Invite in February.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's track& field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
