PITTSFORD, N.Y. – A pair of St. John Fisher baseball players have been named All-Region III honorees for the 2025 season.
Junior Jack Griffin (first base) earned third-team honors from D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings. Senior Mario Cubello (outfield) was named to the D3baseball.com Region III second team.
Griffin, a first-time all-region honoree, logged a team-high .383 batting average with 49 total hits, including eight doubles and six home runs, in his first season as a Cardinal. The College of Saint Rose transfer drove in a team-high 49 runs while playing in 36 of Fisher's 41 games. He earned first-team All-Empire 8 honors as a first baseman and designated hitter.
Griffin played third and first base during the 2025 season and had a .942 fielding percentage. He accounted for 77 putouts and 21 assists.
Also a first-time all-region selection, Cubello led the Cardinals in home runs (8), walks (41), slugging percentage (.627), on-base percentage (.566) and stolen bases (22 in 23 attempts) during the 2025 season. He finished second on the team in batting average (.382) and fourth in RBI (30).
The 2025 first-team All-Empire 8 pick logged a .956 fielding percentage while playing in the infield and outfield.
The Cardinals finished the year 21-19-1 overall and 15-8-1 in the Empire 8.
