PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Jordan Perry became the 13th player in St. John Fisher baseball history to be named Empire 8 Rookie of the Year when the conference announced its accolades for the 2025 season on Tuesday.
Perry, an outfielder who also earned third-team All-E8 honors, led the Cardinals in RBI (47) and finished tied for the team lead in total hits (49) this season. He batted .321 with 10 doubles, four home runs and two triples.
The Cardinals had seven players selected to the All-Empire 8 teams, including two first-team picks in junior Jack Griffin (first base/designated hitter) and senior Mario Cubello (outfield). Sophomore Jackson Frey (outfield) and junior Ethan Fulton (starting pitcher) earned second-team honors, while Perry, sophomore Brendan Bucello (third base) and senior Benjamin Huckans (utility player) received third-team recognition.

Nathaniel Kilburn was selected as St. John Fisher's Sportsman of the Year. One member of each team was named that institution's representative on the 2025 Empire 8 Baseball Sportsman of the Year Team.
