Sepulveda Has Another Standout Performance At E8s

UTICA, N.Y. – Sophomore Manuel Sepulveda had another standout performance for the St. John Fisher men's track and field team on Saturday in the Empire 8 Indoor Track and Field Championships at Utica University's Todd and Jen Hutton Sports and Recreation Center. The Cardinals placed third as a team with 86.5 points. 

Sepulveda placed first and set Empire 8 Conference, event, program and personal records in the triple jump (14.97m). That mark placed him at No. 5 in the nation in the event. 

The Cardinals had two other first-place finishers – junior Brandon Kaplan and graduate senior Sean Cochrane. Kaplan placed first in the weight throw with a mark of 17.78m, while Cochrane placed first in the high jump with a mark of 1.92m.

Up Next

The Cardinals' qualifiers will compete in NCAA Regionals at Ithaca College next Friday and Saturday.
