PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher men's track and field thrower Brandon Kaplan has been named Empire 8 Conference Co-Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Monday morning. This marks the third time this outdoor season that the senior has earned E8 weekly honors. 

Kaplan captured his second consecutive regional title in the hammer throw to lead the Cardinals last week in the 2026 All-Atlantic Region Outdoor Championships at Ursinus College. Kaplan won the event with a mark of 58.36 meters, his best career toss in the AARTFC Outdoor Championships. 

Kaplan will compete in the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
