PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher University had 24 teams and 271 total athletes honored on the Empire 8 President's List for the fall 2024 semester, released Wednesday morning by the conference office. 

St. John Fisher's 271 student-athletes honored marked the most in the conference. Fisher and Nazareth ended up tied for the most programs (24) on the E8 All-Academic teams list. 

An Empire 8 record 1,692 student-athletes from the league's membership were recognized for their excellence in the classroom this past semester with President's List distinction, one of the most prestigious honors that the Empire 8 recognizes.

The Empire 8's 12 full-time members sponsored 5,679 student-athletes who combined for a conference-wide fall grade point average of 3.28. Overall, 29 percent of all Empire 8 student-athletes received this impressive distinction.

Additionally, a league record 177 teams were acknowledged as Empire 8 Conference All-Academic Teams for registering a team grade point average of 3.2 or higher for the fall semester. Nine member institutions had at least 12 programs earn this honor.
