BOSTON — The St. John Fisher University women's track and field team had several impressive performances this weekend at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Classic, which featured student-athletes from all three NCAA divisions.
Junior Caitlin Voloshen's strong season continued, as she set a program record in the mile with a time of 5:01.07, a 10-second personal record. Junior Olivia Grinnell also set a personal record in the mile (5:10.20), a mark that qualified her for NCAA Regionals.
Freshmen Abigail Dorunda and Makenna Manson cracked the top five of Fisher's 200m run list. Dorunda recorded a time of 25.94 (seconds), while Mason finished at 26 seconds even.
Freshman Brianne Hurlburt set a school record in the 800m run (2:19.53). Sophomore Maggie Bacon moved to third all-time on Fisher's 800m run list (2:23.95).
