Kaplan Leads Big Day For Men's Track and Field

ITHACA, N.Y. – Brandon Kaplan set a personal and school record on Saturday in the weight throw as the St. John Fisher men's track and field team competed in the Ithaca Bomber Invite. 

Kaplan placed first in the event, recording a throw of 17.76m. He has won the weight throw event in each of Fisher's last three meets. 

Here are some additional highlights from Saturday's meet: 

4x400m Relay: The Cardinals' 4x400 medley relay group of Brady Bishop, Gabriel Cromer, Corinthian Reed and Michael Prentice placed third and hit the NCAA Regional-qualifying mark (3:26.96). 

Triple Jump: Manuel Sepulveda recorded a season-best and moved up to seventh in the nation in the triple jump (14.37). He placed first in the event. 

High Jump: Sean Cochrane placed first in the men's high jump (1.97m). 

Pole Vault: Hayden Penna placed first in the pole vault (4.60m). He has placed first in the event in three meets this season.
