WAYNE, N.J. – The St. John Fisher University wrestling team traveled to New Jersey on Sunday to compete in the Mideast Futures Tournament at The College of New Jersey.
Luke Yorke had an impressive competition, finishing in fifth place. After a first-round bye, Yorke earned a 24-9 technical fall win. After dropping a match, he rattled off three straight wins including two pin falls and a 23-10 major decision.
Carl Santariello finished the day 2-2 with a 16-6 major decision win and a 16-1 technical fall.
Adam Grover also had a 2-2 day, with 4-1 decision and then a 14-4 major decision win.
Up next for Fisher is the NCAA Mideast Regionals hosted at RIT on Friday and Saturday March 1
st and 2
nd.
