PITSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men and women's track and field teams had athletes compete in two separate competitions on Friday. A group of athletes traveled to Boston University for day one of the David Hemery Valentine Invite, while others stayed local to compete at RIT in their second Friday Night meet of the season.
Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invite
The quadruple of
Myles Andersen,
Ethan Billings,
Anthony DiRubbo and
Robert Hartigan competed in the 4000 Distance Medley Relay on Friday. They finished in 20
th place with a time of 20:28.19.
RIT Friday Night Meet
Nat Kulp led things off on the mens side with a fourth place finish in the 5,000 meter race with a mark of 16:13.43.
John Ruggio tallied a second place finish in the 60m hurdles with a mark of 8.79.
David Argentieri took home fifth place in the high jump, clearing a bar of 1.72m on his first attempt.
Joey Curry claimed ninth place in the shot put after tossing 11.85 meters in his third attempt.
Brandon Kaplan and
Jack Bickford finished in eighth and ninth place respectively in the weight throw. Kaplan hit a distance of 14.39m in his last throw, while Bickford recorded a mark of 13.95m in his first.
The Cardinals are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 10 when they compete in day two of the David Hemery Valentine Invite and the MIT Gordon Kelly Invitational.
