PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's basketball team, riding a two-game win streak out of the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout, begin their home schedule on Tuesday, Nov. 21, against Penn State Behrend. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m. at Manning & Napier Varsity Gym.

Here's what you need to know ahead of the home opener:

Shootout Success
The Cardinals went 2-0 in this season's Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout, held this season at Nazareth University.

On Thursday, Fisher beat RIT 83-60, as freshman forward Joleen Lusk led the team with 26 points and 11 rebounds. On Saturday, the Cardinals completed their Shootout with a 72-62 victory over the University of Rochester, coming back from a 20-17 first quarter deficit for the win. Junior guard Sidney Tomasso led the team with 21 points in the victory over the Yellowjackets. After the tournament, Tomasso was named the event's Most Valuable Player for her 39 total points, six assists, and 16 total rebounds. Lusk earned a place on the All-Tournament team.

Know Your Foe
Penn State Behrend, located in Erie, is one of several satellite campuses in the Penn State system. Unlike the more famous Nittany Lions of Big Ten fame, Behrend is strictly Division III, competing in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

The Behrend Lions come to Fisher with a 1-3 record having defeated Kenyon on Saturday, 63-55. The Cardinals have never faced Penn State Behrend in women's basketball.

Player To Watch
Senior guard Claire Kruszka trails only Tomasso and Lusk in points on the team, with 35. The Psychology major leads the team in three-pointers made (seven), steals (seven), and free throws made and free throw percentage among players with more than two shots taken (12-for-14, .857).

What Comes Next
After facing Behrend, the Cardinals take a Thanksgiving break before returning to action on Tuesday, Nov. 28, against Ithaca.
