PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher women's basketball senior guards Presleigh Brunner and Hannah Ferguson have earned All-Empire 8 Conference honors for the 2025-26 season.
Brunner garnered a spot on the second team, while Ferguson, a first-time All-Empire 8 selection, received third-team recognition.
Senior guard Julia Perales was selected as St. John Fisher's representative on the conference's "Tomorrow's Leaders Team." The Tomorrow's Leaders Team recognizes a student-athlete from each E8 team who has demonstrated leadership in competition, in the classroom and in the community.
Brunner led the Cardinals in scoring this season, averaging a career-high 14.6 points per game while shooting 37.7% overall (146-of-387) and 81.8% from the free-throw line (63-of-77). She also led Fisher with 47 steals and finished second on the team in rebounds (5.8 per game), both of which marked career highs.
A two-time All-Empire 8 honoree – she earned third-team honors as a freshman – Brunner scored in double figures in 20 of the Cardinals' 26 games. She scored 20 or more points seven times, including a career-high 26 against Ithaca in the season-opener.
Ferguson this season led the Cardinals in rebounding (6.1 rebounds per game) and finished second in scoring (11.8 points per game), setting career highs in both categories. She finished with the Cardinals' highest field goal percentage (45.9%, 113-of-246) and second-highest 3-point percentage (34.3%, 35-of-102). Defensively, she led the team with 18 blocked shots and finished third with 32 steals.
Ferguson, who scored 10 or more points in 16 games, produced a team-leading three double-doubles. She scored a career-high 22 points on 7-of-17 shooting from the field, 3-of-5 from three and 5-of-6 from the foul line to go with 13 rebounds against SUNY Brockport on Jan. 9.
The Cardinals finished the season 12-14 overall (9-7 Empire 8).
