PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's basketball team earned recognition for its success in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, finishing 20th among NCAA Division III programs on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll.
The Cardinals, led by head coach Sarah Cartmill, posted a 3.764 team grade-point average after recording a 3.84 team GPA during the fall semester and a 3.78 GPA in the spring.
The WBCA recognized 119 teams across the NCAA, NAIA and two-year colleges as part of its 2025-26 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll.
"The WBCA is pleased to recognize those women's basketball programs that have committed themselves to excellence on the court and in the classroom," WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew said. "The 119 ranked teams we honor this year across all five collegiate membership divisions strive to achieve all-around success, and we commend their efforts. Congratulations!"
St. John Fisher earned Empire 8 All-Academic Team honors during both the fall and spring semesters. The Cardinals also had 11 student-athletes named to the Empire 8 President's List in the fall and eight earned President's List recognition in the spring.
Additionally, four Cardinals were named to the College Sport Communicators Academic All-District Team, while four student-athletes were inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society in March.
St. John Fisher finished the 2025-26 season with a 12-14 overall record, including a 9-7 mark in Empire 8 play.
