LEWISBURG, Pa. - Four Cardinals from the St. John Fisher College men's and women's track and field programs competed on Friday afternoon at the Bison Outdoor Classic, hosted by Division I Bucknell University.

Makenna King, Andrew Ford, Ethan Billings, and Joe Jerkovich represented Fisher in deep fields that consisted of mostly Division I and Division II opponents.

In the women's discus, King logged a distance of 37.05 meters on her second of three tries. The second-year thrower finished with the longest throw among the Division III student-athletes in the event, placing 21st overall.

Jerkovich participated in both the discus and javelin on the men's side. The only D-III thrower in the discus, the senior from Jupiter, Florida, posted a distance of 38.07 meters. In the javelin, Jerkovich reached 45.44 meters.

In the unseeded 1,500-meter race, Ford nearly equaled his personal record from the Geneseo Early Season Invitational on April 2. Ford finished in 4:14.64, less than four seconds off the pace of his PR.

A sophomore competing in the unseeded 5K, Billings placed 20th out of 62 runners. He shaved over 11 seconds off of his time from the Geneseo Early Season Invitational, clocking in at 15:32.92.

The Cardinals wrap up the Bison Outdoor Classic on Saturday, April 16, before returning home to host the Cardinal Classic at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex on Saturday, April 23.
