Logan Fredrickson represented the Cardinals on the second day of SUNY Cortland's Red Dragon Open and Multi.
On Sunday, Bowers and Blowers wrapped up the final five events of the decathlon, the 110-meter hurdles, 1,500-meter race, discus throw, javelin, and pole vault. The pair finished one-two in the discus, as the former won the individual event at 30.01 meters and the latter took second at 24.73.Â
A Clifton Park native, Blowers also won Sunday's pole vault (3.30m) and javelin (34.57m). He earned 4,612 points for a runner-up finish in his first collegiate decathlon, trailing only Division II Le Moyne's Nicholas Hafner. Bowers was fourth with 3,920 points.
Fredrickson participated in the remaining three events for the heptathlon, the long jump, javelin, and 800-meter dash. She was the runner-up in two of the three events with a 17.88-meter javelin throw and an 800 time of 2:53.70. She entered Sunday in third and maintained her position with a total of 2,599 points.
The Cardinals return to Geneseo, New York, for the second time in two weeks for the SUNY Geneseo Invitational on Monday, April 11.
