PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's golf team competed in the Empire 8 Conference golf championship over the weekend. It was held at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, N.Y. 
 
The 2022-23 league champion is determined from results of the fall portion of the championship, followed up by the 36-hole Spring Championship, which will take place on April 15-16, 2023 at Hershey Country Club.
 
The Cardinals have a team score of 633 strokes to lead second place SUNY Oswego (651), while Utica University is third overall with a team score of 678 strokes. Nick Tellone sits in second-place on the individual leader board with a score of 156, just two strokes off the leader. Luke Buckley, Benjamin Fox and Joseph DePasquale took third, fourth and fifth at the fall championship. Buckley scored 158, while Fox tallied a mark of 159 and DePasquale finished the day 18 over par and a total of 162.
