PITTSFORD, N.Y. – One week into the season and the St. John Fisher College men's track and field team has reason to celebrate as Ethan Billings was named the Empire 8 Track Athlete of the Week on Monday following his standout performance at the Houghton December Classic on Friday.

Billings was the first Division III runner to cross the finish line in the 5,000-meter run on Friday as he recorded a time of 15:51.77 to finish in sixth place. That time is currently the 30th best in Division III to date this season.

The Cardinals will return to action at 4 p.m. on Friday when they make the short trek down East Avenue to take part in the Nazareth College Early Season Invite.
