Football is back at Growney Stadium on Saturday, as St. John Fisher College hosts visiting Olivet College at 1 p.m.
This is the first-ever meeting between both teams and the first time that the Cardinals have faced a member from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).
The Cardinals are coming off a 7-4 season where they were co-champions with SUNY Cortland (claimed automatic qualifier) for the Empire 8 title. Last year, marked the 14
th season where Fisher advanced to the postseason. Fisher closed out the regular season on a six game-winning streak before falling 42-21 to Westminster College (Pa.) in the ECAC Division III James Lynah Bowl.
Olivet is coming off a 9-1 season and shared the MIAA title with Albion College. The Comets only loss came to Albion who earned the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Championship..
Tickets for Saturday's game start at $5, while children 12 and under are free.
