PITTSFORD, N.Y. – St. John Fisher junior defensive back Micah Harshfield has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, the publication announced on Tuesday morning. He joins junior linebacker Jack Bierman as the second Cardinal to earn a D3football.com Team of the Week spot this season. 

Harshfield made seven tackles, including six solo, and returned an interception 42 yards for a touchdown on Saturday in a 28-20 loss to No. 11/12 SUNY Cortland. He became the first Fisher player to run an interception back for a touchdown since DeAndre Green did so against Alfred in November 2024. 

Harhsfield has amassed 42 tackles (34 solo, 1.5 for a loss) and a team-leading eight pass breakups while playing in all seven of the Cardinals' games this season. He has intercepted passes in back-to-back games.

The Cardinals (5-2, 2-2 Empire 8 Conference) host Utica (6-1, 3-1 Empire 8) at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Growney Stadium.
