Both the men's and women's basketball programs at St. John Fisher College will look to extend their respective winning streak to eight games on Friday, as the Cardinals travel to Oneonta to face Hartwick College.

Fisher's Saturday-doubleheader at Stevens Institute of Technology has been postponed and rescheduled for Friday, January 29th with blizzard-like conditions predicted for the weekend in Hoboken, N.J.

Friday's 6 p.m. matchup between Fisher and Hartwick in men's basketball figures to be a good one.   The Cardinals (11-3 overall, 5-0 Empire 8) are in first place in the Empire 8 standings, with a one-game lead over the host Hawks (10-5, 5-1).   Fisher escaped from Oneonta with a 69-68 win over Hartwick last year.

On the women's side, Fisher (12-2 overall, 5-0 Empire 8) will take on Hartwick (6-8, 4-2) at 8 p.m. in a matchup of two of the top three times in the conference standings.  The Cardinals have won three straight over Hartwick, including 74-57 win in Oneonta last year, thanks to a 14-2 run in the closing moments.

For next Friday's games at Stevens, the men's game will start at 4 p.m., while the women's game is schedule to tip off at 6 p.m.
