The St. John Fisher College football team (5-3 overall, 4-2 Empire 8) hits the road for the second straight week to take on host Hartwick College (3-5, 1-5) in an Empire 8 Conference matchup on Saturday.
The Cardinals are coming off a dominating performance at Ithaca College last Saturday, as Fisher cruised to a 34-0 win over the Bombers, marking the squad's second consecutive shutout.
The defense set the tone early, as D3football.com Team of the Week member
Brandon Fuentes intercepted a pass on Ithaca's first play from scrimmage and returned it for a touchdown. It was Fuentes' first of two interceptions on the day, as Fisher intercepted five passes in the game, including two from senior
Brandon Miller.
Hartwick is coming off its first Empire 8 win of the season, as the Hawks knocked off Buffalo State College, 41-30. Â Hartwick features the Empire 8's top passing game, averaging over 360 yards through the air per contest.
Kickoff on Saturday is set for 1 p.m. from Wright Stadium and further information on the game can be found below.
