The St. John Fisher College football team (1-3, 1-2) travels to Morrisville State College (2-2, 1-2) on Saturday to take on the Mustangs at Drake Field.
The contest will mark the first-ever meeting between the two programs and will also serve as an Empire 8 Conference game. Morrisville State joined the Empire 8 as an affiliate member at the start of this season.
The Cardinals look to bounce back after falling 30-7 last Saturday at Buffalo State. Fisher committed a turnover on each of its first two possessions of the game as Buffalo State capitalized by taking a 9-0 lead off of the mistakes. Nathan Nigolian. Nigolian finished with seven receptions, 95 yards and a score in the game.
Morrisville State returns home after falling 34-19 on the road to Alfred University last Saturday. The Mustangs battled throughout the contest and trailed 20-19 late in the third quarter before Alfred took over to score the last 14 points of the game. Cristian Pena recorded 162 yards and two touchdowns rushing for Morrisville while quarterback Cory Benedetto had 138 yards and a touchdown passing.
