RIT Scores In Second OT To Beat Fisher In Women's Soccer

Host Rochester Institute of Technology scored the game's only goal in the 105th minute to beat St. John Fisher College in a Division III women's soccer matchup.  With the loss, Fisher falls to 1-4 overall, while the Tigers, who were ranked in the top 20 in the nation just one week ago, improve to 3-1-1.

Senior goalie Brooke Seavitt led the Cardinals with seven saves on the day.

The Tigers out-shot Fisher 19-7, but the Cardinals had their chances.   In the final five minutes of the first half, Carly Finn ripped a shot that nearly went into the upper left corner.   In overtime, Brooke Whitman rattled a shot off the crossbar that bounced down, landing on the goal-line.

Fisher returns to action at 2 p.m. on Saturday and will host Union College.  The Dutchwomen are 4-0 on the year and ranked 16th nationally.
