The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season, as the Cardinals hung on for a 1-0 win over SUNY Geneseo on Saturday at Brockport in the fourth game of the Golden Challenge for a Pink Cure.
Sophomore
Molly Beaton scored her first goal of the year in the 39th minute off a pass from classmate
Jamie Alloco for the game's only goal.
Junior goalie
Brooke Seavitt finished with eight saves to preserve the shutout - the first of her collegiate career.
Fisher (1-3) will return to action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and will host Rochester Institute of Technology.
