The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at home to nationally-ranked Rochester Institute of Technology on Wednesday night.
Fisher controlled the tempo for most of the first half, out-shooting the Tigers 3-1 over the opening 45 minutes. The Tigers scored what would ultimately be the game-winning goal off a rebound from 18 yards out  six minutes into the second half.
Fisher tried to make a late push to equalize, its best chance coming with just 20 seconds remaining in the game on a long shot by senior Alexandra Rohloff. The Tigers finished the game with a 14-6 advantage in shots.
Goalkeeper Brooke Seavitt made six saves in net for Fisher.
With the win, No. 27 R.I.T. improves to 4-1, while the Cardinals drop to 1-4.
Fisher is back in action at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Union College.
