Women's Soccer Ends Season With Loss To Ithaca

Fourth-seeded St. John Fisher College bowed out of the 2013 Empire 8 Conference Women's Soccer Championship, losing 6-2 to top-seeded Ithaca College on Saturday.

With the loss, Fisher, making its third straight appearance in the Empire 8 Championship, finishes the year with a 9-11 overall record.   Fisher defeated Ithaca 2-1 in overtime just 10 days ago.

Ithaca took the lead fo good in the game's third minute and pushed its lead to 2-0 going into the locker room.  Ithaca scored in the opening minute of the second half, but Fisher answered right back, as Hannah Gilbride scored off a pass from Taryn Guinta.

After two more Ithaca goals, senior Chelsea Oberkrieser scored the final goal of her collegiate career with Carly Finn assisting.

For Fisher, Brooke Seavitt made three saves in goal, while freshman Gabrielle Cotugno stopped two shots.  Both goalies allowed three goals.
