Women' Soccer Defeats Buffalo State on the Road

BOX SCORE

The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team won 2-0 over the host Buffalo State College Bengals in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday. With the win the Cardinals move to 7-6-4, while Buffalo State falls to 5-8-5.

Val Hanson put Fisher on the board first when she scored with seven seconds left in the first half. The goal came off a pass from Kristie Link, who subbed into the game just seconds before the score.

Alexandra Rohloff added an unassisted goal in the 81st minute when there was a collision with the Bengals' keeper. Rohloff gathered the loose ball on the play and scored an insurance goal for Fisher.

The Cardinals will return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday when they play another non-conference game, this time against Hiram College.
