The St. John Fisher College
women's soccer team defeated host Alfred University 2-0 on Saturday night. With the win the Cardinals improve their record to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the Empire 8 Conference.
Fisher made no quams about wanting the win, scoring at 1:39 in the early stages of the game on an unassisted goal by
Chelsea Oberkrieser. Just under ten minutes later the Cardinals struck again, this time it was
Alexandra Rohloff scoring on a pass from
Krista Pilla.
The defense would hold the Saxons to just two shots on the night while Fisher rattled off 18 shots. Both Saxon shots were on goal and
Noel Peck earned the pair of saves.
The Cardinals will return to action on Monday night at 7 p.m. when they host RIT at Growney Stadium.
