Cardinals Come Up Short Vs. Nazareth

St. John Fisher College fell to 1-7-1 overall and 0-3 in the Empire 8 Conference with a 3-0 loss at home on Wednesday to visiting Nazareth College.

Fisher had two great scoring chances in the opening 10 minutes, but Nazareth's goalkeeper made two diving saves to keep the game scoreless.

The Golden Flyers scored the game-winning goal in the 16th minute and added two goals in the second half to seal the win.

Nazareth finished the game with a 19-10 advantage in shots.

For Fisher, Jessica Plukas stopped eight shots over 64 minutes, while Noel Peck made three saves.

Fisher will return to action on Saturday at Clarkson.
