Women's Soccer Wipes Out Wells

The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team erupted for seven goals and posted a 7-0 win over visiting Wells College on Wednesday night.

Fisher (3-9-2) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening 12 minutes and never looked back.
 

Freshman Alexa Capozzi scored Fisher's first two goals of the game and recorded her first career hat-trick in the win.

 Classmate Krista Pilla scored her first goal at the collegiate level, as did fellow freshman Chelsea Oberkrieser.
 
Freshman Laura Burgstrom picked up two assists in the win.
 
Junior Jessica Kowalski also scored in the win, as did Kaytlyn Perotti. Victoria Alfieri registered an assist.

Goalies Jessica Plukas, Noel Peck and Sydney DeVitto combined for the shutout.

Fisher will return to action at noon on Saturday and will host Elmira College.
