The win ensures Fisher a winning record for the 2008-09 season. It will be the 33rd time in the program's 35-year history that the Cardinals have posted a winning record. Last winter, Fisher went 13-14, breaking a string of 32 consecutive winning seasons.
In tonight's win, the Tigers tied the game at 63-63 with 3:07 left on a 3-pointer, but the Cardinals responded with a 13-0 run over the next three minutes to take command and pull away.
Colleen Maloney led the Cardinals with 17 points, including 11 in the final 4:16.
Freshman
