Fisher Women's Basketball Defeats Cazenovia

Nichole Clark tallied a career-high four steals in Wednesday's win.

The St. John Fisher College women's basketball team collected its 10th win of the season on Wednesday, as the Cardinals picked up a 62-36 win over host Cazenovia College. The Cardinals held the Wildcats to just 15 points in the first half and had 12 players register in the scoring column.

 Fisher opened the game with an 18-5 run over the first nine minutes and ended the first half with a 15-2 spurt to take a 38-15 lead into the locker room and never looked back.

Colleen Maloney led Fisher (10-4) with 11 points, while Meagan Tubbs added 10 points.  

Kristi Jeffres totaled nine points, while Mary Kate Comfort added eight.  Both players finished with a team-high six rebounds.

Kayleigh Comfort finished with six points and three steals, while Marissa Canori chipped in with five points.  Christine Isselhard totaled four points and four rebounds.  Stephanie Sweeney led the Cardinals with five assists, while freshman Nichole Clark made a career-high four steals.  

Kristen Taliento, Chrysa Lyons, and Molly Dougherty also scored in the win.

Fisher will return to action this weekend.   The Cardinals will play at Alfred University on Friday and will host Nazareth College on Saturday.
