The St. John Fisher College
womens soccer team finished tied with Clarkson University on Saturday. After 90 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute golden goal periods, neither team could provide a final strike to take the win, finishing knotted at one.
Fisher's only goal came by way of an own goal, when
Kelly Zeppetella and
Megan Gee put pressure on the keeper for a rebound, a Golden Knight's defender tried clearing the ball but missed, sending it in the net. Zeppetella for the second straight game narrowly missed scoring, this time just missing off the crossbar.
Fisher will return to action next Sunday when it will host the Hartwick Hawks at 1 p.m.
