St. John Fisher University Athletics

Ella Eckert (East Amherst/Clarence) of the St. John Fisher College women’s basketball team has been name the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for her performance this past weekend against Nazareth College. 

The Cardinals closed out the regular season with 77-64 victory in the second edition of the “Battle of the Beaks”. Eckert would stuff the stat sheet with a team-high 18 points and added 15 rebounds and five assists. This game would mark the sophomore’s ninth double-double of the year. 

The Cardinals will look to get their seventh-straight win as they host fourth seeded Hartwick College in the semifinal round of the Empire 8 Conference Championship.
