St. John Fisher University Athletics

Amy Gardner (Dryden/Dryden) of the St. John Fisher College women’s basketball team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for action taking place during the week that concluded on February 17th, 2020.

On Friday, the Cardinals hosted The Sage Colleges where the sophomore was an offensive juggernaut as she had a career-high 28 points and showed her hustle on the defensive end with a team-high four steals. The Gators would come within six points in the fourth quarter but Fisher held them off with 9-2 run to get a 69-57 victory. Against Utica College, the Dryden native put up 14 points and two assists as the Cardinals held on with 69-65 victory.  With the two wins Fisher clinched its second Empire 8 Regular Season Championship in the last three years and will host the upcoming postseason conference tournament. 

It will be Senior Day on Saturday as the Cardinals wrap up the regular season against Nazareth College in part two of the Battle of the Beaks. The game will be held at 4 p.m. inside Manning and Napier Varsity Gymnasium on Bobby Wanzer Court.
